Curator’s Statement: “...The paintings in this exhibition achieve a stylistic integrity and inspirational form that move us to experiences unfettered by cynicism and wry social commentary. In a painting like ‘Moonscape’, a nearly religious intensity enthralls us and commands our attention. The basic call of beauty as an indicator of truth is reclaimed and that ‘valhalla’ of painting, a recognizable personal style, is achieved. Nature, the only real source we have, once again embodies our spiritual aspirations and is lifted from the mundane representation to an iconic presence. After a long journey seeking individuation, we come home again and see the place for the first time.”
